December 22, 2011 Manning Defense Rests Case in Pre-Trial Hearing ------------------------------------------------ Defense attorneys for alleged army whistleblower Bradley Manning rested their case on Wednesday after calling two witnesses. Manning is in a pre-trial hearing to determine whether he's to face a court martial for allegedly leaking classified video and diplomatic cables to Wiki Leaks. Both defense witnesses were military comrades who testified about Manning's alleged erratic behavior and the lax security environment on the Baghdad computer system he used. Closing arguments are expected to begin today after which the presiding officer will have over three weeks to render a decision. .
