Occupy D.C. Protests Democratic Fundraiser

Dozens of Occupy protesters marched in Washington, D.C. on Thursday to
protest a Democratic Party fundraiser for the 2012 campaign. Chanting
"We are the 99 percent," protesters criticized the Democratic Party for
its ties to Wall Street.

Protester: "We are here to show that the Occupy movement is not
partisan. As a matter of fact, home boy just said it perfectly, 'the
Democrats are not going to save us.' We are going to save ourselves. The
Democrats have just a hand in this as much as the Republicans do. As a
matter of fact our entire political process is mired in corporate
interest and we know it. The Democrats just like to play it off like
they are a party of the people but they're really not. They are playing
along with it too and we know that."
