Human Rights Advocate Moncef Marzouki Sworn in as President of Tunisia

A longtime human rights advocate has been sworn in as Tunisia's new
president nearly a year after protests topped Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
The new president, Moncef Marzouki, vowed to be faithful to the martyrs
and to the objectives of the revolution. Marzouki headed the Tunisian
League for the Defense of Human Rights from 1989 until he was forced out
of the country in 1994.
