Armed Suspect Killed After Taking Hostages at Discovery Channel

A hostage-taking at the Maryland headquarters of the television network
Discovery Channel ended Wednesday with the fatal shooting of the
suspect. Police say James Lee had entered the building armed with a
handgun and possibly wearing explosives. Lee was described as a mentally
unstable environmentalist who had long railed against Discovery’s
coverage of environmental issues.
