Obama to Appoint Warren to Advisory Post

President Obama meanwhile is reportedly preparing to name Harvard Law
School professor Elizabeth Warren to a special advisory position to
oversee the newly created Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. By
appointing Warren in that fashion, Obama would avoid the risk of a
drawn-out confirmation process fueled by Republican opposition.
