US Accuses China of Illegally Subsidizing Clean Energy Projects

The Obama administration has announced plans to investigate whether
China is breaking international trade rules by heavily subsidizing
Chinese manufacturers of wind turbines, solar energy products,
energy-efficient vehicles, and technologically advanced batteries. China
responded by sharply rebuking the White House, accusing the Obama
administration of playing election-season politics.
