Murkowski Claims Victory in Alaska Senate Race

Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska has claimed victory over Tea
Party-backed opponent Joe Miller after more than two weeks of vote
counting. Murkowski ran as a write-in candidate after Miller won the
Republican primary in August. Murkowski is said to have a 10,000-vote
lead, but Miller is still refusing to concede the race.
