More US Troops Now in Afghanistan than in Iraq

The number of US troops in Afghanistan now exceeds the number in Iraq
for the first time. The Pentagon says 94,000 US troops are deployed in
the occupation of Afghanistan, 2,000 more than in Iraq. The US force in
Afghanistan has more than tripled since President Obama took office in
January 2009.
