Cuban Musician Silvio Rodriguez Granted US Visa

The prominent Cuban musician Silvio Rodriguez has been granted a visa to
perform in the United States nearly one year after the State Department
prevented him from entering. Rodriguez was unable to perform at the
ninetieth birthday celebration for Pete Seeger in May 2009 after his
visa application was stalled. The new visa will allow him to perform at
New York’s Carnegie Hall next month.
