Karzai Meets with Afghan Militant Group

In Afghanistan, President Hamid Karzai held talks Monday with
representatives of the Islamic Party, one of the largest militant groups
fighting Afghan and NATO forces. Karzai is planning a peace jirga, or
assembly, next month with several militant groups.
