Ex-Sri Lankan Military Chief Faces Court-Martial

In other news from Asia, Sri Lanka’s former military chief has been
court-martialed on sedition charges. Sarath Fonseka was arrested on
February 8 after being accused of plotting a coup two weeks after losing
the presidential election to incumbent Mahinda Rajapaksa.
