Taliban Fighters Attack NATO Base

Meanwhile in Afghanistan, Taliban fighters have launched an attack on a
NATO base in Jalalabad. Several fighters reportedly stormed the base
after a suicide bomber blew himself up at its gate. NATO says eight
fighters were killed in the attack. Al Jazeera reports the Taliban
called the operation "a message to David Petraeus" that it can attack
the U.S. military at will.
