Afghan Drug Use Increases

New figures meanwhile show years of occupation and fighting have left
Afghanistan with one of the highest percentages of drug addicts in the
world. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime says 800,000 Afghan
adults now use opium, heroin and other illicit drugs, a percentage of
close to seven percent.
