Aid Groups Warn 10M West Africans Face Starvation

The aid groups Oxfam and Save the Children have launched emergency
appeals to assist up to ten million people in West Africa at risk of
starvation. The groups say Niger and Chad face conditions of the 1984
Ethiopia famine because of a crippling drought.
