Blackwater Vies for $1 Billion Afghan Police Contract

In other news from Afghanistan, the company formerly known as Blackwater
is in the running for a contract potentially worth one billion dollars
to train Afghanistan’s national police force. 
Under an existing defense contract, the company, Xe, already trains the
Afghan border police—an arm of the national police—and drug interdiction
units in southern Afghanistan.
