Senate Advances Russia Nuke Reduction Treaty

The U.S. Senate has voted to begin debate on a long-stalled arms
reduction treaty with Russia. The New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty,
or New START, calls for the United States and Russia to reduce their
deployed arsenals of nuclear warheads, missile silos and bombers.
