Blackwater Agrees to Pay $42 Million in Fines

The private security company Blackwater has reportedly agreed to pay $42
million in fines to the State Department to settle hundreds of
violations of export control regulations. The New York Times reports the
violations included illegal weapons exports to Afghanistan, making
unauthorized proposals to train troops in south Sudan, and providing
sniper training for Taiwanese police officers.
