Report: US Air Strike Killed 60-70 Afghan Civilians

A prominent Afghan-based rights group is estimating between sixty and
seventy Afghan civilians died last week in the US air strike in Kunduz
province. Afghanistan Rights Monitor based its estimate on interviews
with local residents. The air strike has sparked a national debate in
Germany over the role of the country’s troops in Afghanistan. It was a
German commander who ordered the air strike.
