Study: Banks Gain from 35% Rise in Overdraft Fees

A new study has found US banks charged customers around $24 billion in
overdraft fees last year, a 35 percent increase from the year before.
The Center for Responsible Lending says it expects to the number to grow
by $3 billion in 2009.
