House OKs Extension of Jobless Benefits

In other news from Washington, the House has voted to approve an
additional $24 billion in benefits for the unemployed. The measure would
extend unemployment insurance in addition to renewing a tax credit for
first-time home buyers. President Obama is expected to sign the bill
later today.
