Post-9/11 Detainees to Receive $1.2 Million

The federal government has agreed to pay $1.2 million to settle the
cases of five Muslim immigrants who were rounded up and jailed after the
September 11 attacks. The men were held for months in the Metropolitan
Detention Center in Brooklyn as “persons of interest” to terror
investigators.
