November 2, 2009 Justice Dept Invokes State Secrets in Wiretapping Case ------------------------------------------------------ The Obama administration has invoked the controversial “state secrets” privilege in a legal case challenging the government’s warrantless wiretapping program. The Justice Department is arguing that national security would be at risk if the case proceeded.
