GOPers Block Debate on Credit Card Rate Freeze

Back in the United States, Republican senators have blocked debate on a
measure to freeze credit card interest rates. Democratic Senator
Christopher Dodd had written a bill that would have prevented interest
rate hikes before new regulations take effect next year. But on
Wednesday, Republicans thwarted Dodd’s attempt to debate the measure on
the Senate floor.
