Bolivia, US Hold First Talks Since Ambassador Row

In Bolivia, US and Bolivian officials have held their first talks since
last year’s expulsion of a US ambassador on allegations of aiding the
opposition to President Evo Morales. On Wednesday, Assistant Secretary
of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Thomas Shannon met with
Bolivia’s foreign minister in La Paz.
