Report: 1,000 Suspected Taliban Killed in Pakistan

The Pakistani military is now claiming it has killed more than 1,000
suspected Taliban fighters along the Afghan border. Pakistan is
considering widening its offensive to outside of the Swat Valley.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari told the Sunday Times of London,
“Swat is just the start. It’s a larger war to fight.” The military
offensive in the Swat Valley has already displaced more than a million
people.
