Environmental Justice Attorney Luke Cole, 46, Dies

And the pioneering environmental justice attorney Luke Cole has died at
the age of forty-six. He was the co-founder of the Center for Race,
Poverty and the Environment. Over the years, Cole battled toxic waste
facilities, mega-dairies, mining companies and other pollution threats
in poor and minority communities in California and Alaska. Cole died
last week after a car accident in Uganda.
