Gubernatorial Primary in Virginia --------------------------------------------------------- In Virginia, State Senator Creigh Deeds has defeated former Democratic National Committee chair Terry Mc Auliffe in the primary for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination. Deeds will face Republican nominee Bob Mc Donnell in November’s election. Mc Auliffe lost despite a high-profile candidacy that included campaigning from former President Bill Clinton. Mc Auliffe recently faced controversy after consumer advocate Ralph Nader said Mc Auliffe tried to bribe him to stay off the presidential ballot in 2004. .
