Senate Ends Funding for Nuclear Waste Facility

The Senate, meanwhile, has passed an energy spending bill that would
close the Nevada nuclear waste dump Yucca Mountain. The move fulfills a
campaign promise from President Obama to shutter the twenty-five-year,
$13 billion facility.
