Fujimori was found guilty of giving a $15 million bribe to a former senior aide who he feared was plotting a coup against him. In April, the same court sentenced the ex-president to twenty-five years in prison after he was found guilty of authorizing an army death squad that killed twenty-five civilians between 1991 and 1992. .
