Federal Deficit Tops $1T for First Time
---------------------------------------



Back in the United States, the federal deficit has topped one trillion
dollars for the first time. On Monday, the Treasury Department said the
deficit passed $94 billion last month. The Obama administration has said
it expects the deficit to reach over $1.8 trillion by the end of the
year.
