Iran Calls for US Apology for 1953 Coup, Jetliner Attack

The news comes as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran would
be open to talks with the US if it apologized for past actions.
Ahmadinejad called on the White House to apologize for the US-backed
coup that overthrew Iran’s nationalist government in 1953 and the
shooting down of an Iranian passenger plan in 1988.
