Circuit City to Close Remaining 567 Stores; 34,000 to Lose Jobs

And in economic news, Circuit City has announced plans to shut down its
remaining 567 stores. 34,000 workers are set to lose their jobs. Circuit
City was the nation’s second-largest electronics retailer after Best
Buy. Meanwhile, the Financial Times reports Bank of America could soon
eliminate up to 4,000 more jobs.
