Obama Signs Child Health Insurance Expansion

Obama, meanwhile, has signed into law an expansion of government health
insurance for low-income children, following congressional approval last
month. The $33 billion expansion of the State Children’s Health
Insurance Program will be funded in part by a tax increase on cigarette
packs. Former President George W. Bush twice vetoed similar measures.
