Senate Panel to Review CIA Treatment of Foreign Prisoners

The Senate Intelligence Committee is preparing to launch a review of the
CIA’s treatment of foreign prisoners in the so-called war on terror.
Congressional officials say lawmakers will use classified material and
public testimony to document the use of torture practices, including
waterboarding. The probe is being billed as a “study” and won’t make
recommendations on whether to prosecute Bush administration officials.
