US Nearing Deal to Increase Citigroup Stake

The Wall Street Journal is reporting the US government is nearing a deal
to increase its stake in the troubled bank Citigroup to as much as 40
percent. The US has already poured $45 billion into Citigroup since last
year. The deal is expected to be announced later today.
