Ross Named to Advisory Post on Iran

The State Department has made official its appointment of Dennis Ross as
special adviser on developing strategy toward Iran. During his previous
stint as US envoy to the Middle East, Ross was widely criticized for
backing Israeli settlement expansion and refusing to address Palestinian
grievances.
