Obama Expected to Tap GOP Senator to be Commerce Secretary
----------------------------------------------------------



President Obama is expected to nominate Republican Senator Judd Gregg of
New Hampshire to be Commerce secretary. If confirmed, Gregg would become
the third Republican in Obama’s cabinet. If Gregg left the Senate, New
Hampshire’s Democratic governor would choose his replacement. Gregg has
reportedly assured fellow Republicans that he would not take the job
unless he was certain his replacement in the Senate would line up with
the GOP caucus.
