Single-Payer Advocates to Hold Day of Action at Senate Offices

As the Senate healthcare effort continues, single-payer advocates are
planning a national day of action Thursday at Senate offices nationwide.
The group Mobilization for Health Care for All says it will hold sit-ins
at Senate offices in eighteen cities. The sit-ins are timed to coincide
with International Human Rights Day, which marks the signing of the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. The Declaration affirms
“medical care” as a basic human right.
