Senate Approves $636 Billion Military Spending Bill

On Capitol Hill, the Senate has approved a $636 billion military
spending bill that continues to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The measure was passed by an 88-to-ten vote. Democratic Senator Russ
Feingold of Wisconsin was joined by nine Republican senators in opposing
the bill. The bill includes $80 million to acquire more unmanned
“Predator” drones to allow the Obama administration to expand the air
war in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
