Senate Opens Debate on Sotomayor

On Capitol Hill, the Senate has begun debate on the confirmation of
Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor. Twenty-eight Republicans say
they’ll vote against Sotomayor, not enough to block her approval.
