40 Killed in Iraq Violence

In Iraq, at least forty people were killed and more than 220 wounded
Thursday in a series attacks south of Baghdad. The attacks come one day
after more than 100 people were killed and 500 wounded in Iraq’s worst
coordinated bombings in eighteen months.
