Blagojevich Charged in Corruption Scandal

In Illinois, a federal grand jury has charged former governor Rod
Blagojevich in connection with the alleged corruption that forced his
removal from office. On Thursday, Blagojevich was charged with
racketeering, extortion and fraud. His brother and four other associates
were also charged. Blagojevich was impeached in January following his
indictment on bribery and wire fraud charges. The allegations against
him include trying to sell President Obama’s vacant Senate seat to the
highest bidder.
