Military Recruiters Benefit from Economic Crisis

Military recruiters say the economic crisis should make it easier to
find new recruits to join the armed forces. Pentagon official David Chu
said, "We do benefit when things look less positive in civil society.
That is a situation where more people are willing to give us a chance.”
The Pentagon announced last week that all four branches of the armed
forces met their respective recruiting goals for the federal fiscal year
that ended on September 30.
