Obama to Give Up Senate Seat

President-elect Obama has announced he’ll resign his Senate seat as of
Sunday. The move ensures Obama will miss next week’s lame-duck session
of Congress, where lawmakers are expected take up new measures
surrounding the financial crisis. Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich will
choose Obama’s replacement for the remaining two years of his term.
