Tanzanian Mine Shut Down after Thousands Raid Mine

In news from Africa, the world’s largest gold mining company, Barrick
Gold, has temporarily closed a mine in Tanzania after thousands of
protesters raided the site and destroyed $15 million worth of equipment.
One local villager was killed in the confrontation at the mine.
