Helpers Applications Directory ______________________________ This directory contains currently up to date freeware/shareware helper applications that NCSA Mosaic for Macintosh can use to view external images, play sounds, expand files, etc. The files in this directory are binhexed and compressed in some way. In order to use these applications, the archives must be decoded and decompressed. Stuffit Expander will do both of these things when an encoded/compressed file is dragged on top of it. Stuffit Expander is available in macbinary format in this directory. It is important to make sure that this archive (stuffit-expander-352.bin) is transferred to the Macintosh with MacBinary turned on. This is only a selection of the applications that are available for use as helper applications with NCSA Mosaic. Many other applications can serve the same function. Please feel free to use any other appropriate application.
