Patch Binary Directory
======================

This directory contains patched versions of some parts
of Harmony. These versions are output of our ongoing
development and are not very heavily tested. If you
install binaries out of this directory, don't forget
to read the comments in the appropriate file to check
if there are dependencies with other parts of Harmony.


Installation:
-------------

1. Get the correct binary for your architecture. The 
names of the binaries use the following scheme.

<Harmony Part>-<Version>pl<nr>-<OS>-<OS Version>-<Date>.tar.gz

If there is any additional information on the binary
itself or its installation there is a file named:

<Harmony Part>-<Version>pl<nr>-<OS>-<OS Version>-<Date>.README

Please read this file carefully before the installation!!


Harmony Part:

sessmgr	      : Session Manager
harscened     : 3D scene viewer (part of VRweb distribution)
hartextd      : Text viewer
sgmls         : SGML Parser by J Clark
harfilmd      : Film player
harimaged     : Image Viewer
haraudiod     : Audio player
harpsd        : PostScript Viewer
gs_steering   : GS controlling program
telnet.hyper  : Telnet client

haradmin      : Administration tool

2. Uncompressed the file with gzip and tar:
	gzip -dc <file> | tar xvpf -
or
	tar xvzpf <file>
	

3. Copy the binary in the
	$HARMONY_HOME/bin
directory.
