MFDPRT.LIT FUNCTION: To create an ASCII file (that may be printed) for the MFD (Master File Directory) on a specified device. HINTS/RESTRICTIONS: MFDPRT may be run from any account on the system and will function for any device on the system. MFDPRT will create the ASCII file in the account you are currently logged into under the filespec of {device}.MFD. FORMAT: .MFDPRT {device:} The device may be any device that the driver is resident for and is currently on the system. Multiple digit drive numbers are permitted. DEFAULTS: If no device is specified, then MFDPRT will default to the device you are currently logged into. OPERATION: 1. Type MFDPRT followed by the device you wish to print. 2. MFDPRT will create an ASCII file with a filespec of the device and an extension of .MFD in the account you are currently logged into. ERRORS: A. ^specification error: Your command line was of incorrect format. The ^ points to the location that MFDPRT does not understand. B. All other error messages are from AMOSL operating system 1 CHARACTERISTICS: You can use MFDPRT to create a sequential file so you can have printed copy of any block on any mounted device. MFDPRT is both re-entrant and reusable. MFDPRT is control C (^C) interruptable, if CTRLC is SET on the user's terminal. MFDPRT will display the PPN designation in octal format, to be consistant with the operating system.
