Introduction# ################# Welcome to my secrets guide for The Sims: Bustin Out for Gamecube. This guide's purpose is to (obviously) show you what the various unlockable things in this game are, and what they do. Since this is a SECRETS guide, anyone who doesn't want the game spoiled for them should probably leave now. *Waits* Alright then, let's get started! #################### #3. The Unlockables# #################### ------------ a. Furniture ------------ Here's the format for this part and the next. Possibly the next one after that too. Name of object Motives given, if any Skills built, if any Cost My own description of the object Unlock at (where you need to live to get the goal to unlock this object) Unlock how (how you complete the goal to unlock the object) 1) Chairs/Beds ************** NOTE: THIS IS ARRANGED BY PRICE. Rustyredneck Stump Chair Comfort 2 Cost- 110 simoleons Description- A wood stump in the form of a chair. Not very good unless you're low on cash or just a nature-lover. Unlocked at- Pixel Acres Unlocked how- Complete the goal "Find out what `ghost' of a problem the Goths are having". With a creativity level of 9 or above, visit Goth Manor and play their synthesizer. You will unlock this and the Pixel Booty song, which makes everyone get naked (used in a different goal not covered in this guide). Big Mouth Chair Comfort 6, Room 1 Cost- 390 simoleons Description- A chair that looks like... a mouth! The part you sit on is the tongue. A pretty good deal for the price. Unlocked at- Dudley's Trailer Unlocked how- Complete the goal "Visit Mimi and get her to Pull your Finger". First, you have to complete the goal "Get to know Dudley better" to unlock the Pull My Finger interaction. Then just visit Mimi and use the interaction on her. Sili-Camp Tent Comfort 6, Energy 7 Cost- 415 Simoleons Description- This is a bed with a tent on top of it. It has blue sheets, and sleeps two Sims. Don't buy this bed. If you're that short on money, then buy the futon bed, which is cheaper and gives 7 Energy. Unlocked at- Casa Caliente Unlocked how- Get promoted to Transcendalist in the Counter Culture career path. Autocrat by Emporium Imperium Comfort 5, Energy 5 (Napping), Room 1 Cost- 550 simoleons Description- This is a couch (not loveseat) that has a white body with blue and white stripes on the cushions. Kind of ugly IMO. Also, the Country Class Sofa is 100 simoleons cheaper and has the same stats minus the room 1. Unlocked at- Tinsel Bluffs Unlocked how- Get promoted to the Hall of Famer position in the Jock career path. Q3 Recliner Comfort 9, Energy 3 (Napping) Cost- 825 simoleons Description- A golden yellow recliner. Very Hollywood looking. It has the same statistics as the Von Braun recliner, so personal preference rules here. Unlocked at- Club Rubb Unlocked how- Complete the "Throw the Ultimate DJ Dance Party Goal". First, you must buy $1500 worth of stuff for Club Rubb (easy, get some beds, a fridge, and cooking appliances), then buy the Dance Floor. The day of the party, skip work, and call to throw a party. Have one of the roomates (whoever's best at cooking, if they're all the same, then it doesn't matter) serve two platters of food up. Have the other clean up the club. When the partygoers get to the club, have the Sim with highest creativity Spin on the DJ booth, and get the other two on the dance floor to dance. Get everyone else to join the dancing by using the "Join Dancing" interaction on them. Get at least 5 Sims on the dance floor at once to complete this goal. Miss Memo Sleeper Comfort 7, Energy 11 Cost- 1290 simoleons Description- A capsule-shaped sleep chamber. Very cool and futuristic looking. Not too bad for the price either. Energy 11 means that your Sims will have shorter sleeping times with this bed. Sleeps one. Unlock at- Toane's Gym Unlock how- Get promoted to Chopper Pilot in the Paramilitary career path. The Vibromatic Heart Bed Energy 8, Comfort 10, Room 2 Cost- 4500 simoleons Description- A bed with a heart-shaped headboard, red pillows and sheets, and a white mattress. This lets two Sims "Play in Bed" to increase their relationship and Social scores. There's a chance that you'll be offered to have a baby after playing in the bed. Unlock at- Casa Caliente Unlock how- Get promoted to Yoga Instructor in the Counter Culture career path. 2) Surfaces *********** Boomtowne Redwood Table Cost- 250 simoleons Description- A dining table that is carved from a tree trunk. Constructed Table Room 2 Cost- 600 simoleons Description- A blue-white table that is low to the ground. Pretty cool looking. Unlock at- Tinsel Bluffs Unlock how- Buy 2000 or more simoleons worth of objects for Tinsel Bluffs. Buy a body building machine, and buy a fun object to replace the TV that Malcolm takes. 3) Decorations ************** Atlantean Column Room 1 Cost- 120 simoleons Description- A white Corinthian column, I think (someone email me for verification of this). Very good if you are into the Roman/Greek look for your house. One of the more expensive decorations that offers only 1 Room point. Unlocked at- The Octagon Unlocked how- Buy 2000 or more simoleons worth of objects for The Octagon. Upgrade the kitchen, the beds, and the TV. Pretty easy to do. Toy Parrot by Fauxfriend Room 2 Cost- 300 simoleons Description- A fake parrot. One of the more expensive decorations that offers 2 Room points. Unlocked at- The Octagon Unlocked how- Complete the "Find and Suppress Antiwar Protesters" goal. Visit Club Rubb and attack Bing or Mona. Win the fight to complete the goal. Both residents will have 1-2 Body points, so try to have 4-5 Body points so that you'll beat them. Anatomical Skeleton Display Room 3 Cost- 550 simoleons Description- What looks like to be a display of a gorilla skeleton. Good price for the motive points. Unlocked at- Goth Manor Unlocked how- Complete the "Exorcise the Ghosts by Having a Seance" goal. You first have to buy 1000 or more simoleons worth of objects for the Manor to unlock the Seance Table. Then, use the action "Exorcise Spirits" at nighttime (7PM to about 3AM) twice to complete the goal. Warkraft Radar Dish Room 3 Cost- 900 simoleons Description- A radar dish connected to a scaffold. Fairly good deal for the price. Unlock at- Shiny Things Labs Unlock how- Get promoted to Secret Agent in the Paramilitary Career Path. Sham-Shag Polar Bear Rug Room 6, Comfort 1-3 when relaxing on it (don't know exact number, if you know, email me) Cost- 3650 simoleons Description- A white polar bear rug. Two Sims can relax on it. When relaxing, they talk, and if they're in love, they'll occasionally start making out on it. It's required for a goal later on, so don't sell off the one Casa Caliente has already. Unlock at- Casa Caliente Unlock how- Buy 1500 or more simoleons worth of objects for Casa Caliente. Buy some beds, another hot tub if you want, some kind of fun object, and upgrade the kitchen. Pretty simple. Manila 1000 Marine Aquarium Room 10 Cost- 8500 simoleons Description- A very large wall-mounted aquarium. It has fake fish in it, so you don't need to do anything at all with it. Unlock at- Tinsel Bluffs Unlock how- Get promoted to Director in the Movie Star Career Path. Temple of the Simoleon Room 10 Cost- 8999 simoleons Description- A fountain with seven golden pedestals around it. Career gnomes are stored here. When you activate it, the gnomes you've unlocked (one for each career track) do a little dance, one by one. Pretty amusing. Unlock at- Malcolm's Mansion Unlock how- Get promoted to level 10 of every career path. 4) Electronics ************** Great Big Adventure Japanese Arcade Cabinet Fun 5 Cost- 99 simoleons Description- Only unlockable on the Gamecube, it lets you play minigames from the GBA version of the Sims: Bustin Out on your GBA to get money for your GCN Sim. Pretty sweet for a Gamecube-only object. Unlock at- Anywhere Unlock how- Connect your GBA to the Gamecube and turn on the GBA. Laser Light Show Fun 3, Comfort 3, Energy 3 (which one depends on the show activated) Cost- 2700 simoleons Description- A red half-sphere with laser emitters resting on a white pedestal. There are 3 different shows for it. The best one is the Chakra show (Energy 3). The other 2, the Soma (Comfort) and the Cubella (Fun) are pretty worthless. Buy two and set them on Chakra shows whenever you need energy to build skills or satisfy other motives. Their combined effects give the same energy boost as sleeping in the Spartan Special Bed (Energy 6). Costs 50 simoleons per use. This is better than the Aromaster because it doesn't break down as much. Unlock at- Studio 8 Unlock how- Get promoted to Fingernail Painter in the Fashion Victim Career Path. Hellagraphix 1024 Diamond Edition Fun 9 Cost- 4999 simoleons Description- A holograph-producing video game system. No TV needed, and a great group activity for early to late-mid game. Great price. Bounce My Booty Dance Floor Fun 10 Cost- 7999 simoleons Description- A dance floor to go with the DJ sound system. Required for a goal at Club Rubb (Throw the Ultimate DJ Dance Party). Pretty cool, except the only thing is....Sims can't dance well to save their lives. Oh well. It's amusing to see Sims dancing on it. Unlock at- Club Rubb Unlock how- Buy 1500 or more simoleons worth of objects for Club Rubb. Get a kitchen and beds. Information Overload by Bu Butubu Fun 9, Room 8 Cost- 9499 simoleons Description- The ULTIMATE TV. 9 screens + snack dispenser + all channels showing at once + easy to unlock = BEST ELECTRONIC OBJECT EVER. 9 screens means no more changing the channel to suit your Sims' needs. Fontis Publicus Hygiene 2, Room 1 Cost- 400 simoleons Description- A golden, free-standing sink. Unlock at- Tinsel Bluffs Unlock how- Get promoted to Centerfold in the Fashion Victim Career Path. Wicked Breeze Outdoor Shower Hygiene 5 Cost- 599 simoleons Description- The shower you would see outdoors or in a gym locker room. Purple and pink tiles. Sims can shower in it with no need for privacy. Convenient, but it doesn't give lots of Hygiene. Unlock at- Club Rubb Unlock how- Complete the "Find Out what is going on at Toane's Gym" goal. You have to perform three Triple Flip dives off the High Dive at the gym to complete the goal. I recommend having at least 5 body points so that you'll most likely pull off the dives perfectly (higher body points= less chance of missing the dive). Flush Force 5 XLT Bladder 8, Comfort 4 Cost- 1200 simoleons Description- A blue and white toilet. Automatically flushes, so you don't have to worry about clogs. Vehicles ----------- This section will exclude the price, motives, and skills for obvious reasons. Price is free, and cars don't satisfy any motives and they don't give any skills. If only driving was a skill in the Sim world..... Super Scooter Description- A red electric motor scooter. Upgrade from this ASAP. Unlock at- Mom's House Unlock how- Get a job using the newspaper. Hard to describe, since I don't know cars too well. Anyone have a better description?) Unlock at- Goth Manor Unlock how- Complete the "Get back the fern that was stolen from the Goths" goal. Visit Dudley's trailer and steal the fern near the broken down car in the back. Maximoto Tsunami X-Teq Description- Similar to the Imposter Type-S, but red, has no stripes, and is about half as long. It's a sweet ride. Unlock at- Toane's Gym Unlock how- Complete the "Go to Dudley's Trailer and PARTY" goal. The goal is to have at least a relationship of 5 with Dudley and everyone at the party. You also have to interact with every Sim at the party. Complex? Not really. Just takes a few precautions and steps. Number 1. Visit Dudley and get the party started in the MORNING. That way you'll have a lot of time to socialize with everyone. Number 2. Get your motives FULL before leaving. Dudley's REALLY stupid. He doesn't cook, so everyone leaves in about 4-6 hours because they're starving. Number 3 (for the TRULY paranoid). When you're living in Dudley's Trailer, serve two platters of food right before you move out so that everyone will stay longer. Number 4. SAVE right after you arrive at Dudley's Trailer. That way, if things do go wrong, you can re-load and try again. Limo Ultimo Description- Think a black stretch limo. Plus a HOT TUB where the trunk is. Yeah, that's right. A HOT TUB. Easily the sweetest ride in the game. And, easily unlockable too! SWEET! Your Sim will actually change to their bathing suit, get in the back, and pop up in the hot tub in the back. That's a pretty sweet reward for getting so far in the game. Unlock at- Malcolm's Mansion Unlock how- Spend 20000 Simoleons or more on objects for the mansion. It's actually not too hard. Buy a video game system for the sitting room on the right wing. Upgrade the bathrooms if you wish. Upgrade EVERYTHING if you can. Splurge on burglar alarms and buy a few laser shows and Aromasters to keep that energy up while you do stuff in the mansion. Spritzenfunken Q3 No description yet, haven't unlocked it Unlock at- Casa Caliente, Shiny Things Labs, Club Rubb, The Octagon, Pixel Acres, Tinsel Bluffs, or Malcolm's Mansion Unlock how- Get married. Fall in love with a Sim from the Free Street Houses, then Propose. Schnellmeister Technik Edition Same as above Unlock at- The Octagon, Pixel Acres, Tinsel Bluffs, or Malcolm's Mansion Unlock how- Have a baby, then survive for three days until it becomes a child. Easier said than done. First, make out a LOT with your spouse until the game asks if you want to have a kid. Say yes. Then, either have your spouse (if unemployed) care for the baby for the three days, or alternate between you and your spouse caring for it. Babies need a lot of attention. When it starts crying, feed it first, then sing to it. ALWAYS do that. NEVER play with it. While it sleeps, you can replenish the caretaker's motives. Sataniti Diavolo GT 1000 Same as above Unlock at- Malcolm's Mansion Unlock how- Send your Kid to Prep School with Straight A's. Not too hard. Have your kid be in a good mood, study a lot, and go to school every day. Then they'll leave for prep school (polar opposite of military school). ----------- d. Repairman Cost- 50 simoleons per hour Description- The repairman is the guy who fixes things that would get you electrocuted if you tried to fix them. He's essential if you don't have a high Mechanical skill. Even if you do have high Mechanical skill, it's sometimes better to pay his high fee rather than waste tons of time replacing lightbulbs or fixing the appliances for the millionth time. Unlock at- Mimi's Place Unlock how- Fix all the broken things. This includes the Espresso Machine, and sometimes the dishwasher. Study to get at least 3 Mechanical points before trying to fix the broken things. ---------------------- e. Social Interactions ---------------------- COMING NEXT UPDATE! --------------------- f.
