Introduction ---------------- This Demo/game is from Issue 96 of OPM (with Mortal Kombat:Shaolin Monks as the picture on the DvD). This is mainly to help those that might have the same questions as many other people about the demo. Only email if you have questions regarding the Demo ONLY (at least until we have the Full version in our hands). If you think something else needs to be added to this by all means send it to one of us. We will add more to this FAQ if we need to at a later time. ##################################### III. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) ##################################### ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Q. What Buildings can be destroyed in the Demo? A. There is 8 buildings you can destroy in the game (that I know of at this time anyways). I will give a small Walkthrough as to where you can find each one. The Time Limit does limit me on how to explain on getting to each building because I"m sure not everyone will be able to get to each building with the time they give you. 1st Building: Head straight past the Gas Station in front of you. You will see a building with green windows and small smash points (yellow glowing orbs) going along the side of the building. This is the First Building you can destroy. You will find many Big Smash Point Orbs inside this building once you have destroyed it. (Note: Remember how the 1st Building looks because most of the rest of the buildings will look the just like it.) 2nd Building: Follow the small smash points along the side of the 1st Building and turn left to find more small smash point orbs. Continue going straight down this street after the small smash point trail ends and Follow this street as it curves to the right and you will see the 2nd Building you can destroy in the distance (on your left before you reach the second intersection). You will find a Comic Book inside this building and a yellow smash orb. 3rd Building: Turn Left at the intersection near the Second Building and turn left at the next intersection up ahead (where the red out of bound flares are at). Follow this street past three intersections and you will see the 3rd Building you can destroy on your right. You will only find one big yellow smash orb in this building. (Note: Push Start and Restart mission to restart the Demo again) 4th Building: Face Hulk away from the Gas station in front of you and go straight down this street. Turn right at the first intersection you come to and the 4th Building is on your left. You will find many big yellow smash orbs inside of this building. 5th Building: Continue down the street you are on and you will see the 5th building with a large square hole in the center of it. You may want to jump on it before destroying it to get the smash points on top of it first. You will find many big yellow smash orbs inside of this building. 6th Building: Go to the Hulk's right and down this street. Go past the first intersection and you will see the 6th building on your left. You will find many big yellow Smash orbs in this building and a Comic book at the corner 7th Building: Continue straight down the street you are on until you reach the red out of bound flares at an intersection.. You will see the 7th building just out of bounds. I recommend just hitting the corner of this building only to avoid not going to far out of bounds to destroy this building. 8th Building: Follow the red flare out of bound markers that go down the street to the right of the 7th Building and you will see the 8th Building you can destroy on your right after the first intersection you come across. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Q. There is a 2 minute time limit on the demo is there a way to extend it? A. There is 2 ways to extend the time you can play the demo without having to deal with the many loading screens: ========= First Way ========= (Note: I currently only have 8 ways listed to get Bonus Time listed out of the ten possible ways) You need to do one of the following things to extend your time (some of these things only give you a time bonus once the others will give you everytime): Destroy a Tank (you need to destroy about five to get this one) Destroy Specific buildings (8 in the Demo that I've came across so far (2 comic books are inside two of the buildings (2nd and 6th on the walkthrough for question #9). Destroy a Police Car (you may need to destroy more then one) Destroy Strike Team (Helicopters (Choppers) and Robot) Combo Time Bonus (Perform a Combo attack) Street Collection Time Bonus (Grab Yellow Collectibles on the ground) Rooftop Collection Time Bonus (Grab Yellow Collectibles on rooftops) Grab Big Blue Gorilla (it reminds me of King Kong) on the tall building near the water (Tallest Building Southwest of where you are facing when you start in the Demo) ========== Second Way ========== Right after time runs out you will see hulk start to do an Atomic Smash Attack. When you see him do this quickly push Start before he hits the ground with his attack (just keep pushing start until it brings up the menu it might happen after he does the attack also just depends on when the game will let you get up the menu). Choose Restart Mission and you will have less loading screens to deal with to start your game again. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Q. How do you Surf on a vehicle (You can do this with most of the larger vehicles like Trucks (or the front cab of the Gas Tanker you start near also), Ambulances, Tanks and Buses)? A. Grab one of the Vehicles that I mentioned above and when you are holding it in your hands hold down (Triangle). This will make the vehicle into a shield. Once it is a shield jump (X) and then push (Triangle) to start surfing down the street with it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Q. Can you use a Vehicle to surf on water? A. No, not in the demo and I'm guessing not in the full game but who knows. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Q. I just finished the demo and got a code what is it used for? A. The code is used on the Full Version of the Game. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Q. How many codes can you get on the Demo? Q. What can you do with the comic books in the demo and where do you find them? A. They have no purpose in the demo only in the full game and you find them inside some of the buildings you can destroy ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10. Q. What Can I do with the Green Question Mark(s) I found on a rooftop? A. They don't serve much of a purpose in the demo only in the full game. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11. Q. What is the fastest way to destroy one of the buildings that can be destroyed? A. There is two ways you can destroy a building rather fast: &&&&&&&&&& First way: &&&&&&&&&& Destroy things until the Strike Team is after you and then quickly run to a building that can be destroyed. Run up the side of the building and run around the rooftop letting the missles and gunfire of the helicopters destroy the building for you. &&&&&&&&&&& Second Way: &&&&&&&&&&& Grab a small vehicle (usually a car since they are most common) and press Triangle once the hulk is holding it over his head. This will create Steel Fists for the Hulk and you can attack one of the buildings that can be destroyed with them to bring down the building pretty fast. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12. Q. What is the fastest way to gain Smash Points? A. Collect Smash point orbs one right after the other similar to the way Pac-Man collects dots. The more smash orbs that you collect in a row the faster your score grows. There are ways to get smash points without collecting the orbs but I'm not sure on what they all are at the moment (one that I can think of is finishing the tutorial instructions is the only one I can mention at the moment). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 13. Q. How do I move around the city faster in the demo? A. There is the obvious way by holding down R1 to run/dash but there is an even better way to go a great distance fast. The first thing you want to do is go to one of the large wide open areas before trying to do this until you get the hang of it. While you are moving forward hold down X and do a powered jump (meaning hold down the X a little bit so the hulk jumps higher then just by pressing X). Once the Hulk jumps hold down Jump (X) and right before the Hulk lands let go of jump (X). If you did it correctly he should make another jump and depending on how powered up it was will depend on how much farther he will jump. You can keep doing the jumps one right after the other and you can get around town quite fast. It seems to be fast for me because you get to avoid traffic. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 14. Q. How do I bowl in this demo? A. When you start the demo grab (circle) the 66 gas station ball to your right. Go to the middle of the street to hulk's left and you should see a bunch of cop cars to your left down the street. Face the hulk in that direction and throw it (hold down circle to roll it farther). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 15. Q. How do I swing a pole like a golf club or bat? A. Grab a street light post and Hold Triangle when near a person or vehicle to Golf Swing or Hold Square when near them to swing it like a bat. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 16. Q. How do I do a Piledriver in this demo? A. Grab an enemy preferably one of the robots that show up with the helicopters and then hold down Triangle until the Hulk Piledrivers the robot. When the Hulk jumps up for the Piledriver quickly hold down Circle or Triangle for an extra slam/throw to the ground after the Piledriver. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17. Q. What codes do you get for each level of destruction? A.
